2019 Christmas Expo Was The Most Successful Ever
The American Cancer Society appreciates all of the hard work that the residents of Second Life have dedicated to the 2019 Second Life Christmas Expo, the premier winter fundraiser for The Society. This year, the Christmas Expo raised more than $24,000 USD, a 20% increase over last year’s total. All fundraising dollars from the 2019 Christmas Expo will be used to support the American Cancer Society’s childhood cancer mission, which includes the new VR for Pediatric Cancer patients service.
Stingray9798 Raymaker, the American Cancer Society staff representative in Second Life has been excited and impressed with how the Second Life community, the event organizers, and Linden Lab all worked together to make this the most successful Christmas Expo, ever.
“Naula Maracas, Trader1 Whiplash and their team have been outstanding volunteers since day one in Second Life; and this year’s Christmas Expo will go down as one of their finest achievements. When Patch Linden and the Lab jumped in with their support we just knew that 2019 was going to be a magical event...and it was!”
