The 2024 Relay For Life of Second Life theme is: DECADES OF HOPE! - representing the 110 years of the American Cancer Society, as well as twenty years since volunteers began fundraising in Second Life.
Our community in the virtual world is stronger than ever, after raising a record breaking total of $472,333 in 12 months. We will celebrate our history while looking ahead to the future.
“Dancing and music are a large part of Second Life culture, which is why we included the dancers through the decades on the theme logo,” said Stingray Raymaker, Director of the American Cancer Society in Second Life.
MamaP Beerbaum, Executive Leadership Team member, added, “The logo is elegantly simple and conveys a powerful message without overwhelming the senses.” The colors represent the various programs of the American Cancer Society while capturing the culture of Second Life in a way that presents our Relay with dignity while winking at our community’s vibrant personality.
We would like to thank everyone who submitted logo concepts over the last several weeks and we’re excited to unveil the final version of the 2024 Relay For Life of Second Life Theme Logo. We offer special gratitude to Moira MacArthur for combining the various concepts, ultimately leading to the finished logo that will be used as our flagship symbol for our Relay For Life efforts in 2024.
