Dear Relay For Life of Second Life Volunteers,

We hope this message finds you well and full of enthusiasm for the upcoming 2024 Relay season.

We have some exciting news to share, as we continue our mission to make a difference in the fight against cancer.

We are thrilled to announce that Selene Jashan has accepted the role of 2024 Relay Event Lead!

Selene is a dedicated member of our Relay For Life community, and her passion for the American Cancer Society and unwavering commitment have not gone unnoticed. With her impressive track record of participation and leadership, we have full confidence that she will lead us to great heights in the upcoming season.

Selene's experience and vision make her the perfect choice to guide our event to success, and we are looking forward to all the incredible ideas and innovations she will bring to our Relay For Life of Second Life community.

Selene joined the Relay community in Second Life as a Team Captain of The River of Life team and quickly volunteered to help establish the “Relay Goes MC” campaign that led to more than 75 MC teams joining Relay For Life of Second Life. Since then, she has taken on many responsibilities within the leadership structure of Relay For Life of Second Life, including serving as co-Relay-Event-Lead for the past two years.

“As a cancer survivor and caregiver, Selene understands why we Relay and always places an emphasis on the importance of celebrating cancer survivors on our teams and in our community,” said Stingray Raymaker, Director of the American Cancer Society in Second Life.

Selene will be reaching out to Team Captains in December/January to discuss our goals for the 2024 season (and she’ll make sure you are ready to register your team on January 15, 2024). We encourage you to offer her your warmest support, and together, we will make 2024 an unforgettable year in the fight against cancer.

Thank you all for your continued dedication and passion. Without each and every one of you, Relay For Life of Second Life would not be what it is today.

If you have any questions or would like to connect with Selene, please feel free to reach out to her in Second Life.

Together, we will make a profound impact on the lives of those affected by cancer.
